Artwork by L.Diane Johnson
Happy May Everyone!
Because of some other projects that I have going that are kicking my butt, I haven’t had time to write my monthly blog, but I hope to get back on track in a month, maybe 2, so get ready, I assure you… I haven’t lost my sense of humor.
Since you asked, I have been remodeling a house I bought before Christmas and aside from having a licensed electrician come check my work, I have done everything. The humor of trying to hang a door, fix leaky plumbing install windows, toilets, vanities, kitchen backsplashes, shower tile or just call on my creativity of interior design, which I am not good at, is something I should have posted on youtube but you would be disappointed in my ability to control my language when I screw stuff up! Throughout my learnings, I have managed to use the F bomb as a noun, pronoun, verb and adjective. I’m not proud of it.
Just to be completely transparent, I still like yellow refrigerators and plaid couches so for the interior design, I call on both of my daughters to help fill in the blanks. They are amazing.
While all that has been going on, I finished this book and worked through the process of getting it in print. Besides the story itself, I am equally proud of the artwork for the front and back cover. My wonderful, beautiful and most talented cousin Diane Johnson started working on the art almost 8 months ago and she blew me away. She painted this!!! Look closely at the cover, pinch and zoom from your phone and you will find some hidden clues and parts of the book that make the story incredible. Check out Diane’s work; https://l-diane-johnson.pixels.com/. I am telling you folks… she is so gifted!
I am working on book number 6 and it is challenging, at least for me it is. I will update you on that one when the time is right.
I hope to hear some feedback from all of you, both good and bad if you can. It really does help. Also- If you could go on Amazon and give the book a rating, I would appreciate it.
Stay, healthy, stay engaged, stay appreciative, but above all, stay focused. Life is a gem, polish it with enthusiasm!
